Enter, the Blow Me Down Mountains. The Blow Me Downs are located in the Cabox Aspiring Geopark, an area known for its stunning natural scenery and its importance in confirming the theory of plate tectonics.

This area is renowned for its extraordinary natural beauty and diverse geology, which in the 1960s and 70s played a significant role in confirming the modern theory of plate tectonics. The Blow Me Down plateau features “rusted” peridotite from the earth’s mantle, rolling sub-arctic meadows and serpentine barrens, with towering waterfalls and stunning views of the Bay of Islands.
