Guided Kayak Adventure

2 Hour Guided Paddle

Sea kayaking is a great way for new and experienced paddlers to explore the Bay of Islands.

For new kayakers, our double sea kayaks offer great stability. The launch point at Benoit’s Cove is perfect. Shoreline paddling in the protected areas of the Bay of Islands lets you test the waters before venturing further.

Kayaking here will also appeal to experienced paddlers. There is an amazing amount of diversity under the waves, and along the shoreline.

Paddle under steep cliffs and along small gravel beaches toward Cook’s Brook, where you may see Osprey, or Terns swooping and diving. Round the point under Our Lady Star of the Sea Church to paddle toward the City of Corner Brook.

The history and culture of this area is fascinating. Inshore fishing continues to be a mainstay for many families. The old government wharf was a welcome sight for families who relocated from Woods Island. They floated their homes across the bay and tied up to this very wharf. You will learn more about that when you embark on our Bay of Islands Zodiac Tour.

Check out the impressive view of Weeball.

This area is protected however kayaking requires a careful eye to the weather and winds, as well as the use of safety equipment. Our kayak tours with experienced guides are perfect for all skill levels. If you are an inexperienced ocean kayaker, it is best to have a guide accompany you. Our guides are comfortable navigating the bay and have extensive knowledge of its geography, weather patterns, and how certain winds affect the areas we paddle.

A knowledgeable guide will ensure your adventure is well planned, and your experience is one you will never forget. We respect the environment and love nature as much as you do.
